Algebra jokes!

Am I serious about what I am doing here? Oh! I certainly am.

But then it does not help either me or you to get bogged down by the seriousness of algebra. So I enjoy the fun of mingling around with those algebraic folks. Trust me the moment you start enjoying the company of algebraic variables and numbers it will become that much easier for you to grab the new concepts.

So, in a lighter vein I have created this page where in you will find a number of algebra jokes that will give you some light moments between intense algebra lessons. Or else you may drop down at this page to have a little fun on the go when you got a couple of minutes to spare.

This list of jokes will keep growing over a period of time, so do check us often.

*Caution: Please remember that the equations and explanations here are to be taken lightly. They may look like basic concepts but may be violating the rules in a subtle manner. So please do not take these things seriously. They are what they are: algebra jokes.

Algebra Jokes for a Good Laugh

Last Saturday I got a shock when my childhood buddy Pipo told me that he’s discovered something new in maths. He discovered that any number is equal to 0.

Yeah! I did ask him how (my jaws were never this far from each other)?

This is what he said…

Let there be two numbers a and b

Assume a=b

=> a2 = a*b => a2 – b2 = ab – b2 => (a+b)(a-b) = b(a-b) => a+b = b => a = b – b => a = 0

Since a = b therefore b is also equal to zero.

Now you know who was laughing so loudly on the street last Saturday.

I don’t like losing money personally and hope you are like me. I was disheartened when Pipo took my $1 bill and gave me 1 cent saying that we completed a fair trade. Now I know, you would bang me for bumping on to him again. Trust me I just cannot help it. This is what he wrote on a piece of paper to convince me that he did not owe me any money.

$1 = 100 C => $1 = (10C)2 => $1 = (0.1C)2 => $1 = 0.01C

By the end of it I was fuming, you know the reason don’t you.

Update: Managed to get back my $1 bill

Did anybody tell you that -1 = 1?

I had the fortune to hear from you know who. This what he said

1 = sqrt (1) => 1 = sqrt (-1*-1) => 1 = sqrt ((-1)2) => 1 = -1

Now that is something to laugh at, isn’t it?

Be on the lookout for some more fun as am destined to meet Pipo again (God save me!). Check back often for updates.
